This replaces the Britcar 24 hours and takes place this coming weekend.

The main race is on Sunday and MacG are taking part (please confirm Jonny) so if you Ultima owners want a day out come along and watch/support.

I hope to be there. Anyone else?

Shame, taking car to paint shop, would've popped along otherwise.

Come on chaps. Come and cheer the MacG Ultima on.

Do you need an excuse to drive your car, well this is it.

I am sure Jonny will have a surplus of edible goodies and they are trying very hard to produce a good showing of the GTR in a very competitive series.

I'll buy a pint of beer for all Ultima drivers in the SRC Clubhouse as a bit of encouragement (you must turn up in the Ultima).

Yes we are there!

We are pleased to announce that Damian Hudes and Ash Miller will be joining team regular Jonny MacGregor in the Ultima GTR, which has undergone a few subtle tweaks since our last outing where we took a podium at Silverstone last month.

The entry list looks great, the weather should be good, and the team, drivers and car are all ready to go. Te full timetable is below, you will note the gridwalk before the race on Sunday at 11am, and the Pistonheads parade at 10am, which has some great machinery in it this year.

Live timing for the event, which starts at 12 on Sunday, can be found here:

http://www.tsl-timing.com/?loc=club&season=201...

Among all the excitement we will try to be getting updates up on our Facebook page too.

We are also please to announce that the Ultima Factory will be supplying us with a spares package for the event, should the worst happen. A big thank you to the Ultima Factory for this as it is greatly appreciated.

Hopefully see you guys there!

Unfortunately we seized the engine today in warm up and couldn't get hold of the parts we required to make the necessary repairs. Very frustrating for all the team, but we will be back soon...

Bugger Jonny.

I suspect your language was a little fruitier.

These engines should be fine at the level of power you are allowed to run. I assume you are using a full dry sump system rather than the standard semi-dry sump.

I would try a chat with the Corvette team that ran at Le Mans to try and get a handle on your issues.

Better luck next time.

We are 95% sure the issue is attributable to the gated sump we fitted, which is very restrictive as the gates clash with the pickup instead of opening fully. In hindsight, its actually very obvious on the data.
