Door lock problems

Thought I’d share some information that may be of help to builders, door locks not locking, the only information I could find is for tension on the door pull cable not allowing the door to be locked, however to little and you can’t open the door from the inside with the door pull. I spent a long time looking trying to find the problem. The key only turns 1/4 in either direction from lock to unlock from its starting point, I thought it would be a full turn. In the end I tried lengthening the rod that connects the key barrel to the lock, turned mine 2 complete turns out and that solved the problem, door now locks, it may save another builder a lot of headaches and can’t remember seeing this anywhere in the past, definitely not on the RS build manual. Now there’s no quick call to Ultima to resolve problems this may help.
Anyway 1st door sanded, window opening bull nosed (surprised how much of a difference that mod makes in look and feel) and prepped for paint should get the 2nd done today ready for when it needs final fit and door gaping, I think the doors may be the thing that takes the most time to prep and fit.
