AudIo USB Blutooth connector
Discussion
I am looking to connect my iPad audio via a Blutooth USB connector to my Samsund 2.1 home theatre system.
I have looked on Amazon and EBay, but nothing seems to do this. Given that Aplle TV is so big with HDMI has anyone seen something that will do a similar job for audio at a much lower cost than a Sonos Connect?
Thanks

I think you need: http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC414B/A/airport...
wirelessly play from iPad to your music system.

Thanks, but it does not seem to use either Bluetooth, or USB. It is connected to the router.
The Samsung Home Theatre has a USB port that can play music from a memory stick, but no interface to control it, the music is just played sequentially.
What I want is a USB / Bluetooth connection so that music on my iPad (not iTunes) can be played through the speakers. There are plenty of devices that can use an analogue 3.5mm jack, but I want a digital connection.
I currently use a wire through the 3.5mm input, so that is what I want to get rid of.

As far as I know you're out of look.
The samsung will be viewing it's USB input as a disk drive whereas you want a streaming connection.
The apple device that I recommended will allow you to play anything on your iPad out of Airport Express's analog wireless connection using your wireless network.
The DAC in the airport express is pretty good so you won't lose audio quality.
Of course there may be some other reason why you don't want to use that connection on your Samsung but otherwise I would have thought that the airport express was a pretty good solution.
These bluetooth receivers will also do the job but use the same analog input: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_14?url=...
Good luck.

OK, thanks. At least I now understand why there is nothing out there.
The Samsung also has an optical input, which works well with a Sonos Connect. Do you think this should be OK? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth-4-0-Music-Audi...
To do a similar job, on the cheap.

I don't see why it shouldn't work but I'm no optical expert. Hopefully someone else will come along and help.
This is even cheaper: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth-4-0-Music-Rece...
Perhaps you could give the model number of your Samsung.

The unit is an HT-A100. I bought online and thought I was getting a Bluetooth connection inbuilt, but by searching by price, I managed to miss that.
Having now had a look at the manual, it is obvious that the USB will not take a Bluetooth link, but I am pretty certain that it will be OK with Toselink.

I bought this on Sunday night and it was delivered this morning.

It pairs very easily and sounds as good as my Sonos Connect used with the Toslink.
It was not clear exactly what was in the box with the cheaper unit on EBay and I did not have the time to sort out any problems.
