I'm moving TV's about after upgrading one and now have a Panasonic V series in the spare room. I need a new Sky HD box (I do not want a Sky + box) with both HDMI out (for the Panasonic) and RF out with the 9 volts for a TV in the kitchen using the Sky Eye set up.

Is there a box available with both of these features as I can't see one after a quick look around Amazon and a few aftermarket suppliers. For reference only one TV will be in use at any time and there is no sound surround.

Cheers in advance thumbup

Do you subscribe to Sky. If yes then a Sky+ HD box really is your only option.

If you don't pay anything to Sky then freest boxes are what you are after and they don't has the 'sky eye' option built in, but there are several external kit boxes that achieve this is that we use in this situation.

The New Sky boxes do not have an RF2 out, but an i/o port, for which you can buy adapters to reinstate the RF2 function.

The problem with this port is that the picture quality on the second tv is quite poor.

You are better off finding a previous gen box that still has them.

(if thats what you meant).

or do what I did, which was to just use a HDMI splitter box and a magic eye into another room, that way any HD sky box can work...

Oh really?

Do you know any more?

I read an article a couple of years ago in which it was hinted that Sky may move to "cloud based" storage, allowing planner sharing, and pretty much unlimited storage.
