I'm looking for a pair of decent headphones to listen to music in the house when the OH is in bed, etc and it's something i haven't had for a long time so no idea where to start really!

Any recommendations on a good set for the house? Not too bothered about budget unless they cost silly money.

What type are you after, in-ear over ear etc.

Also a better idea on budget would help to. smile

I think as it's in the house over ear would probably be best but again this may not be the case now, i'm not sure.

Budget, will say £200 max and hope that gets a decent set!

These get good reviews:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beyerdynamic-DT880-PRO-Hea...

Note they do 3 different version with different impedance depending on what your source is (hi-fi, portable etc.). You'll be able to find the info out easily on the website somewhere.

Yep - I've got the 770s and I'd recommend those.

You've got to have them up pretty loud - (by that I mean too loud really) for my wife to complain in the same room.

At just over £100 I don't think you can get a better package of sound quality, comfortable fit and top notch build quality.

Anything from Bang and Olufsen is good.
