I have an Anthony Gallo Sub Woofer that has stopped working. They have simply said that is it is irreparable, which I find astonishing. I have never known a manufacturer not be able to repair something they designed and made. Can anyone recommend a specialist hi-fi repairer, as it is a nice bit of kit, and it seems a shame to junk it.

Did they say where the fault lies ?

No. Which was really helpful. The fuse in the subwoofer itself blows as soon as it is powered up.

Short circuit somewhere - not really much to a subwoofer so shouldn't be too tricky to locate and, as long as the fault isn't with a PCB using surface mount components, may well be a very simple fix.

Any old school TV repair shops in your area ?

I spoke to AG who said it could take days to fix, as it is long discontinued. To be fair to them they offered me a great deal on a new one.
