Sky TV HD Sound Cutting Out

Last week the sound on my Sky box kept cutting out. It only lasts a split second but does it every minute or so. This seems to be limited to HD channels. I have my Sky hooked up to a Sony BluRay / Surround system. It is connected via Optical and HDMI. I had Dolby D outputting over both optical and HDMI.

When this happened last week I swapped it so Dolby was output over optical only and changed HDMI to normal and this seemed to have fixed it. I have been away for a couple of days and come back to it happening again. No no matter what I select it doesn't fix it.

I have tried a DVD and that's fine so its definitely related to the Sky box.

Anyone else had it or have any ideas?

I had this. Called sky and an engineer gave us a new box (one with wifi, the old one didn't and required a wired network connection).

I stripped all the wiring out and started again putting it all back. The optical cable seemed a little loose so it may have been that.

For now it is working but it has done this before.

Think the box might be on its way out
