speakers in new house
Discussion
we are moving this week, and are buying a victorian terrace with a knocked through lounge/diner.
i listen to lots of music, but my current kit is very small. i have a sherwood 5.1 av amp, which is wired to two eltax floorstanders, and i stream spotify/radio via a gramofon (i also use another gramofon in the kitchen with a 2.1 stystem which i can use simultaneously)
bearing in mind the upsize, i'm naturally skint, and have many other areas needing the cash first, so, with a 7x3m room with a bay at one end, where should i put my speakers? i'm guessing a speaker effectively in each room will be spaced too far apart, but if placed near one another the sound will be too localised? would i be better off making do, and just sticking with what i have, or would i notice a big difference if i pick up some cheap bookshelf speakers, and have a unit in each corner of the room?
