I have a Pure Evoke, quite old, in the kitchen for cooking Absolute have messed with their stations so it no longer gets Abs 80s, I tried the return but I still get the "old" version which is just aloop telling you to autotune, and then says if you cant get it, you can always get it ont he internet, which to me says my old radio is toast, is that correct ?

Their website (you did look there first?) is very unhelpful concerning DAB.

I have just tried my old Goodmans pocket DAB radio and got the retune message, rescanned and no difference. They may have moved to DAB+. I'll try in the car later.

Although Abs80's is not using DAB+ it is on the new national multiplex.
Try pressing and holding down the tune button for a few seconds.

As for the Evoke it does not get DAB+.

Are we switching to DAB+ ???

That slipped me by if we are! Finally, we can join our European cousins in revelling in 64kps MP3 encoding, rather than MP2.

What a wonderful, shiny future we have!

Just rescan or autotune. A number of stations are moving on the DAB spectrum with new stations to be launched. Radio should quickly find Absolute 80's NEW.

Only if you are lucky enough to be in an area that gets coverage .... I've lost abs 80's where I am and it's on and off like a wes drawers until I get down to Preston on the m6.

Just been searching around the internet. It seems to me that "improving" the service has actually reduced the coverage. Here in Ipswich there is a new transmitter due in October 2016. Until then no PlanetRock or Absolute (as I don't listen to them it's not a problem for me).
