Got a Loewe Xelos TV which no longer comes off standby - anyone know of a repair shop in the Cheltenham area they could recommend.

Loewe customer services worse than useless as they simply fail to respond to any number of enquiries.

Thanks

Buy a new TV. Nobody bothers repairing them any more.

not an uncommon problem with them. I can't recall what the company was called but it was near the south bristol junction of the M5. Worked perfectly after that.

If you own something like a loewe or B&O it's worth exploring a repair.

Stuck in standby is usually caused by the power supply having expired.
Anyone who can repair electronics to component level should be able to handle the repair.
The capacitors on the psu will have cooked and will be bulging.

I know someone in frampton cotteril (near yate ) if you cannot find anyone local but you would probably have to deliver and collect.
