Slim 32" TV

Is it just me, or is there no effort on the part of manufacturers to produce a slim TV in this size?

I am hoping someone can correct me but the typical depth of a TV this size is now 5.5-7cm (without a stand), which for something that's going to be wall-mounted it pretty thick. Considering Samsung used to do a model which was 2.7cm deep, is there anything currently available that even comes close to this?

I've bought a screen that can be recessed into a wall before, but for a bedroom TV I don't want anything that going to be too expensive - so any suggestions??

Cant help much but the 32 inch Samsung ive just bought is 5.5cm deep, cant see many being smaller than this.
