Hi, I'm looking at installing a 32" TV on my bedroom wall. The wall is just a plasterboard wall with no brick/block to drill into. I've seen these http://www.gripitfixings.co.uk advertised and was wondering, are they as good as they claim to be? Has anybody used these fixings?
Thanks in advance.

Get the blue ones, they hold up to 225Kg so should easily hold a TV.

The fixings might hold 225kg but not a chance the plasterboard will!

I think most 32" TVs will weigh under 10kg, which will be no problem at all.
I've used the blue ones to put up a 48" TV and heavy mirror on plasterboard. They feel solid.

An alternative would be to find where the wood studs are behind the plasterboard. If you're lucky, they'll be in just the right location for mounting the TV.
It's worth checking where they are anyway - the grip-it fixing will only work if there's no stud behind the hole you drill.

That's tested on 15mm plasterboard, which is very thick. More likely his wall is 9.5mm (could be 12.5) which will be nowhere near as strong

If you have a flat bracket, I'm sure they will be fine. If it is a tilt/turn affair, you may want to use with caution.....or find studs etc....

Like said latest 32" tellys weigh nowt; if no stud available then several brolly bolts or spring toggles will do the job just fine

As said, spring toggles are the best for this. I use 100s. Toolstation do a good range. Get some 5mm x 75mm.

Joists will be 400mm centres.
Find one,get a decent screw and washer in it ,plasterboard fixings will hold the rest of the bracket level.

If you are using a small bracket (flat not swivel) then toggle screws will be fine

If they're metal rather than timber studs, then they're more likely to be a 600mm ctrs.

How old is the property?

Have a look at the screen shot below from British Gypsum's White Book:
