Connecting a headphone amp to an amp with no tape out?
Discussion
Hi all - I've recently upgraded my amplifier to one which doesn't have a tape out. This has always been the connection that I've plugged my headphone amplifier into. Basically, it's a fixed level output which means you can drive it independently from the main volume on the amplifier.
Any thoughts on what I connect the headphone amplifier to now? If the tape out is being phased out, then where does that leave dedicated headphone amplifiers?
Thanks in advance!

Would zone 2 or the pre outs not work? Also you can get USB DAC which might work
The problem with using the pre-outs is that the OP would have to disconnect the speakers manually when using headphones.Zone 2 sounds like a plan however!
