Home cinema / dvd player

Hi all.
I need to get a new home cinema and a dvd player.the kids have loads of dvds they like to watch. Wanted to spend 400 roughly.i only really want a soundbar .not loads of speakers! Any recommendations please.

Possible alternative that may be attractive if its the kids using it, I use a Sony PlayStation 3 as a Dvd/bluray player. Optical output for audio and upscales video well. You can get proper remotes for them or just use the controller.
