New tv wanted

Sorry if I have put this in the wrong section.
Had our old tv for about 12 years now and it's slowly getting tired, time for a new one.
We are after a 42" smart tv for under a grand. What's best out there, there are far too many to choose from.

I’m no expert (and am more than happy to be corrected) but I’ve been more than happy with the various Samsung TVs I’ve had over the years..

Not sure you’ll get an OLED/QLED for a grand but if you can.......

If it's 42 inch then you're looking at LED.

Samsung/Panasonic/Sony are probably your best options. I like Samsung (and you're probably looking at £500 at the size you want) but best to go see a few and decide what's best for your eyes.
