can anyone please help me I have a new turntable and an old Audiolab 8000lx amp and I was wondering if they are compatibleand if so how do I go about it as you can tell this i new to me so any help would be a great help thanks

It doesn't have a phono input, so you need a pre-amp. Either the turntable has one (what model is it?) or you'd need to get a separate one such as a project phono box. You can then connect to any of cd, tuner, aux, tape inputs.

As above. If your turntable hasn't got a phono stage built in you'll need something like this.

What model turntable? Like the others have said, you need a phono pre-amp and gh we are either standalone (usually) or built in to some turntables.
