Stupid Sony plug
Discussion
Just taken delivery of a 55” Sony TV.
So Sony in their very finite wisdom have fitted a moulded plug (so far so ordinary) but bizarrely they have also fixed the cable to the back of the TV.
WTAF?
Like many people my cables pass from wall or table top through narrow holes to power sockets. Holes too small for a plug.
So do I have to cut off and re-attach a new plug or can I unscrew this panel and somehow release the cable from the rear and then re- attach?

You would have less issues warranty wise cutting the plug off than opening up the connection plate.
As said already, just cut the plug off and fit a new one.
I'd have thought it was designed like that to allow you to thread the power cable through for wall mounted setups, otherwise why make it like that? Can't imagine it'll cause any warranty issues. As said already, just cut the plug off and fit a new one.
