You need some sort of cabled connection, Cable TV, Satellite Dish or Aerial.

So not live, legally, no.

Catchup yes. as above and other streamers have NowTV available on them too.

You could run an hdmi extender over the cat5 assuming your freeview box has an hdmi output and tv has hdmi in.

Not sure how the remote control will work though.

Freeview without an aerial... you do know its a terrestrial broadcast from TV transmitters ?!

Why not just use a lot aerial (bigger than the ones on the outside of your neighbours house (make sure it the right 'group' and pointing towards the transmitter.)) and use the CAT 5 to pull through some RF coax ?

You could get an HDHomeRun in the loft which will make your freeview channels available over the network/cat5. I have one and watch live TV using the 'Channels' app on an Apple TV.

No, needs an aerial. The internet connection is used for catch up apps, searching, etc.

EDIT
One of these in the loft? https://www.vboxcomm.com/uk-freeview-and-freesat.h...

But check the Freeview channels that are available, and the picture quality.
