Can anyone recommend a repairer?
Took my Epson to the approved fixer in Pangbourne, but they drew a blank. Not surprised - they seemed more a PC place than AV.

I can't recommend, but I can say I would advise avoiding one place in Farnborough (I'll know the name when I see it, can't remember right now) that couldn't fix a simple fault on a Panasonic projector I had many years ago. They were an approved repairer as well.

It might work out more expensive to fix than buy a working used one, so do your research as it is shocking how quickly projectors drop in value (another Pannasonic dropped 1/3 in 3 months when I realised I should have bought a JVC from the outset and that JVC in turn was worth 1/6 of the new price at 4 years old...). I always buy used/ex demo now.

I was only going to fix it to sell it, as I've moved & no longer have a big garage (aka cobwebby cinema).
Cost me a fortune a few years ago, same. Something like £2000 iirc.

Saw your other thread on AVforums where you mention the model number. I had a quick search and could only find a non sale from 4 years ago on their classifieds which didn't sell for £400 if that gives you some idea of what it might fetch (perhaps a bit less 4 years later). As I said it's brutal how much they depreciate.
