TV shopping / AV receiver / DTS Virtual:X
Discussion
I'm TV shopping (Black Friday etc. ), and I'm looking at a few LG TVs which look very similar apart from a few specs, the 43" UK6750 and 43" UK6950, the 6950 has DTS Virtual:X audio, the 6750 has 'Ultra Surround'. The only other differences I can find are the colour of the frame and the 6950 has a 'Magic Remote' with a Wii controller pointer type thing. I've got a Harmony remote so I'm not bothered with that.
I have a Denon AVR X2400H receiver with Virtual:X, the soundbar I have is a Samsung HW-H500 4.1 channel (which isn't Virtual:X ) connected by optical cable.
Do the TV, receiver and speakers all need to be Virtual:X for it to work, or would it do its stuff from the Denon receiver and Samsung speaker with the 6750?
Just the receiver, 6750 is fine
TV needs Virtual:X, 6950
If Virtual:X doesn't make much difference, 6750
