Lightweight/portable 40ish" TV

We don't watch TV a lot, and mainly my partner uses her iPad while I read forums or the like. Both of use are against having a TV in the room permanently.
However occasionally we like to watch a film or a short series few TV programs or the like, which I would rather do on a larger screen then a 15" laptop. I have a 46" old LCD thats a bit dicky on the HDMI we its heavy an a pita, so I am looking at options.
In the ideal world there would be a tough as nails, wieght less, folding 40" ish TV we can keep in a cupboard and stick on the coffee table five times a year, but open to options.
Have considered a projector, but then you have faff with screen and setup time.
The house is half an Edwardian build, so the room is oak-panelled to 4ft up and the focal point is a full height fireplace.
