Optical or coax cable between Sonos Connect and amp DAC

New amplifier incoming. Audiolab 6000a to bring me into the digital world.
I have one choice from the TV, optical.
For the Sonos Connect which will be streaming Spotify Premium I can use either optical or coax. Do both cables have the bandwidth for the max 320 kbps from the Connect. If it even is that?

At 44khz and 320mbps is there genuinely any need to spend more than a large g&t’s worth on an optical cable?
This is coming from the man who uses Chord Odyssey speaker cables and jumpers. It’s not like there are expensive materials used in the construction?
And on this note, is optical better than coax?
