65 inch screen protection

Looking to upgrade to a 65 OLED screen in the near future, the screen will be wall mounted.

I also have a 3 year old who on occasion has a desire to throw things around, as most of them do!. Is there a recommendation for screen protection that will not adversely affect the viewing experience too much?

In all seriousness keep it out of reach so you don't get jam smeared all over it from sticky fingers and upgrade your house insurance for accidental damage cover. There's nothing you can do to protect the screen that won't adversely affect performance.

If it is in missile range then cheaper telly until the cease fire?

Something on front of the screen added after buying would degrade the viewing experience I think?

Had the same dilemma the screen is glass so a bit more robust than the plastic you get on other TVs. But if anything serious happens I’ll just pop a claim through the home insurance accidental cover.

Thanks for the advice. Yep insurance for accidental seems to be the way to go, given it’s glass and in reality unlikely

I would have thought that you could put a sheet of brand new perspex in front of it with a 1cm gap or something. I dont see why that would have too much of a negative effect on watching the Telly?

ETA: This company sells them but i imagine the 65" version at nearly £200 could probably be 'copied' for a fraction of the price.

Really need to teach them not to throw, but that is easier said than done. My nephew recently broke our new TV by throwing something at it and we had to claim through the insurance.

However if you do want to cover it up, a sheet of clear flat perspex doesn't affect the picture

Is it glass ? My LG oled can flex at the corners if you try. My pc monitors are not glass for sure. You can feel it as you like them. Plastic of some sort.
