4K fire stick no sound
Discussion
Apologies if this is in the wrong place.
Had to buy a new device as amazon / Sony dropped support on one of my Blurays.
Bought a 4K amazon fire stick and damn is it annoying.
It’s plugged into a Pioneer SCLX 86 receiver that is 4K compatible. Video is output but no sound.
Cannot get any sound at all - tried just outputting stereo from the amazon settings but no change.
I’m powering the Firestick from the adaptor supplied as, apparently, some sound issues arise from low power hubs.
I’ve renamed the input “DVD” as one of the internet searches suggested this might help.
Is anyone able to assist please? Onto amazon support at the moment

Can you receiver be configured to send audio via different paths?
I have a Denon that can do this. There's an "inputs" area and you can tell it to send audio via HDMI or the other options (optical, analogue, not at all etc).
I have a couple of Firestick TV 4ks, and 2 more on their way (£29.99 at the moment)...they've been a breeze to get running IME.

Yes I’ve checked this- no harm in checking again. Further research suggests it might be Amazons implementation of I have a Denon that can do this. There's an "inputs" area and you can tell it to send audio via HDMI or the other options (optical, analogue, not at all etc).
