Soundbar crap.
Discussion
I bought a soundbar with great reviews, samsung, connected it to a samsung tele.
It sounds so muffled its horrendous to watch, the last soundbar i had was the same and it was half the price, both soundbars got great reviews and sound good for music.
It sounds like there is no mid range and its just treble and bass, tried changing equalizer but it doesent help, i had to turn a film off as the dialogue was so bad.
Any ideas. Its 360 but my 20 watt tele is 5 times clearer.

just asking
im using a cheap jbl soundbar with my samsung q9 and its far better than the tv speakers so its either broken or a setting is wrong. I know that doesnt help
Its really frustrating, i got one soundbar and it sounded crap (sony) , so i paid twice the amount and got a samsung one, both of them have really good reviews.

The mid range is just dire on both of them, and its been tried on a tv which i have now replaced with a new tv aswell. So 2 tvs and its the same.

Maybe it’s just faulty?
Seems bizarre id have 2 soundbars in a row, different brands tried on different tvs and still same problem, maybe its a soundbar thing? I expected more for 360 quid!! I’m very happy with my Sonos soundbar, I think there are some deals on the Beam, might be worth a look?

pcm. cant choose any other settings.
I'm pretty sure that PCM is stereo only, so that'll probably explain why the centre/dialogue is missing. Need to try bitstream. If you can't change the TV's output to bitstream, maybe there is another setting that you need to change first - stereo/surround/5.1 or something. Might have to set the sound output to "external" rather than "TV speakers"

te, then they usually fail at around 2-3 years old. Whenever I change them out for sonos they are delighted with the result.
