My daughter wants to sing along to the karaoke videos on youtube/spotify. What do I need to put youtube and a mic together? I already have a Yamaha musiccast amp -N602 with spotify etc. Links for exact kit if possible please.

You need a dynamic microphone and cable, a small mixer with a preamp, a cable to go to this from the PC, an active speaker (ie built in power amp).

I get all my kit from Thomann. I’m guessing you don’t want to spend much so you can go for Thoman’ down brand kit. Again to save money you can buy a powered speaker with built in preamp and mixer. After a quick browse:

Mic plus the 2 cables €48:

Powered speaker with preamp/mixer €58:

So €106 all in smile

ETA UK version of site with £s exists and delivery is free

IMHO there's very often ore than one way to create an audio solution to an audio problem.

Can you be very specific about what you want to do, as well as what end result you expect (as they might be different and need different hardware solutions)?

This is for his daughter to have fun with Karaoke he’s not going to want Sennheiser mics, a dLive desk and line arrays .

ETA just noticed OP you have a Musicast amp, sorry I got carried away hehe In which case you still need the mic and cables but a simple (and cheap) mic preamp will do the job.

This is €28, you plug the mic into it and then plug it into an audio in on your Yamaha with a stereo RCA cable:

ETA (again) You could also use an MA400 headphone amp and pass the audio to your Yammy with a 1/8” to stereo RCA cable. A bargain at £19!
