I know I know - it's been debated a million times. But, has anyone here experience burn in with an OLED?
I know image retention is common but only temporary. I'm talking about actual screen burn.
I had my mind set on a Q90r but the lg OLED is quite a bit cheaper.

No. I don't watch a lot of stuff with graphics all the time that will push it, BT sport perhaps, but a full weekends of Champions/Challenge cup back to back and nothing from the bug. News, probably one of the biggest culprits I suppose, not so much. Always let the panel do its compensation cycle before off at the mains. No idea with games, don't game on it.

4 years now I think.

Personally, with a picture this good (the black is the driver with OLED), I would take it on the chin if it lasted four or five years and needed to be replaced.

As above, it’s important to let the refresh cycles take place before switching off the power.

(Touch wood) getting on for six years with OLED screens and as long as you’re sensible it shouldn’t be an issue.

There has been several issues with screen burn on OLEDs over on AV Forum, quite a lot of posts and might be worth a search there.

There is loads of it on the OLED forum on AV forums, I almost bought a 65C9 and an atmos set up on black Friday deals but the amount of problems people are having on AV Forums put me off.

I've been looking at the QLED and LG Nanocells but the reviews all seem to show a lot of blooming issues.

I expect there are issues across many technologies. I suppose people shout out when it goes wrong and those without issues, I wonder if they outnumber the issues.

OLED produces about the best picture going. Treat it right and it delivers.
