Cheap / mid-price television
Discussion
I’d like a 55 inch television for my lounge, a room where we don’t watch a huge amount, so don’t want to pay for a high-end one.
There seem to be some pretty decent models for £400-600 from some of the well known names, is there anything in particular to look for or avoid?
This is the sort of thing that seems OK;
Philips 55” Ambilight

I can' specifically answer your question but check out Richer Sounds before you buy anything. Their 6 year warranty is worthwhile. Also check out Costco they often have some excellent deals and a 5 year warranty.
This advice comes from someone with a 4 year old Sony Bravia which has just blown its mother board......
