Hi. I have a 2017 Samsung 55" that is connected to a JVC 2.1 Soundbar via HDMI Arc.
Turning the TV on etc turns the sound bar and the reverse happens. It will also initially control the volume etc. but if left for any period of time the TV remote stops changing the volume. The banner still comes up to signifiy that it has received an IR button press but the volume will not change unless I grab the soundbar remote or turn the TV on/off again.
This behaviour is also replicated using a Fire TV remote and also a Shield TV remote.
I'd like to be in a position where I can just use the Fire TV remote for the TV and soundbar but can't work what if anything I'm doing wrong with this sound issue.
