Stick with BT TV, or switch to Sky?
Discussion
I've had BT TV and BT fibre for a few years, and my contract is up for renewal again.
When I fist switched to BT TV from Sky, it was a lot cheaper. The price has been going up each year, and I'm not so sure now.
I've tried to get an idea of the current prices, but both websites seem way too confusing about what you actually get (which channels are in HD, what hardware is supplied, etc) so it's hard to compare like for like features and prices.
To complicate matters, I have BBC News running all day in my workshop. To get this channel in HD, I have a Humax Freesat box.
I also sometimes use Freesat on my main TV (built-in).
I believe than Sky now use a different type of LNB for Sky Q? Will the new Sky LNB work with my Freesat boxes?
If Freesat won't be available on a new Sky dish, is the BBC News channel available in HD on Sky?
I'm quite happy with my current BT TV package, but of course they have been changing what channels are on the packages they offer now.
I only really watch (and record) the following "extra" channels:
Discovery HD
Nat Geo HD
History HD
Dave HD
Discovery Turbo
Netflix 4K (via standalone subscription)
What's the cheapest way to get these channels, plus unlimited fibre and "free" landline calls - BT or Sky?

They can fit a hybrid LNB on the dish which will run Sky Q and standard Freesat boxes. Make sure you ask them before hand.
BBC News HD is on SkyQ. Also you can get BBC News HD on Freeview through an aerial.
look at Quidco or similar for cash back. https://www.quidco.com/sky-broadband-tv/
Speak to BT and see if they'll do you a deal.
