Pioneer 434HDE plasma
Discussion
I've had this from new, but it's not worked for about 6 years. It's stuck in a spare room and I can't bring myself to take it to the tip as it's in immaculate condition and properly well made.
I think it's the media box that broken. I know these pop up on ebay every now and again, but has anyone had one repaired?
If not, is just the screen of any use for anything anymore?

If I remember, there was something about PCB boards going on the media receiver with these.
Back then they had to go to a Pioneer service centre for repair, not sure who can do it now though.
Might be worth something to someone for spares/repairs as I'm not sure it would be worth it to repair if it cost a couple of hundred quid as was the cost when sending it to Pioneer back in the day.

One of my very, very bestest pals is a well renowned Pioneer specialist. Have a look on ebay for the_pioneer_man or click on https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162809499147 which will take you to his shop. He's a cracking guy and you'll see 100% feedback on his ebay shop.
He's on here as well so may well pop up to say hi.

To clarify, he offers a repair service as well as parts. Very little he can't get repaired. He's a cracking guy and you'll see 100% feedback on his ebay shop.

In fact he's hopefully getting my projector repaired for me.
Since posting, I connecting everything up and it seems to be working fine again!
Even the remote is working without a change of batteries.
I'm thinking that it may have been an overheating issue due to the media box being in an enclosed cabinet.
I'll check the vents for dust.
Now need to find a use for it...but better than a tip run.
