Frustrating HDMI issue with Hisense tv
Discussion
Evening all
Out of the blue I am now having a weird issue with the HDMI connection between my Sky+HD box and my Hisense 4k TV. All was working perfectly for months, then literally from working one day to now not on the next day, the Hisense just displays Weak or No Signal for HDMI1 (which is the Sky box connection) when the Sky+HD box powers on. It knows it is there, just doesn't show any picture, just the Weak or No Signal display.
No amount of standby resets, powering off at either end or anything else fixes it, the only resolution is to pull the HDMI out of the Sky box whilst it is powered on, and then re-insert it. This appears to "reinitialise" the HDMI and hey presto all working - until the next time the Sky box goes into standby.
I've tried all 3 HDMI sockets on the TV - no difference, and I've also tried a different HDMI cable as well. Same issue.
Has my TV suddenly developed a fault when it working 100% the day before, or is it the Sky+HD box do you think? (which is obviously older kit).
Any advice / opinion gratefully received - and yes I know Sky Q is the current product and I could just upgrade but Sky+HD suits me just fine for the moment, I'll swap to Q once we move to a new home in (I hope) a few months' time.
Cheers all
