New AV receiver (cheapish)?

My Onkyo has finally given up, dodgy unreliable optical connection and now, finally no sound and a slight burning smell!
The guys at local Richer Sounds confirmed I bought it back in 2011 so time for a replacement.
Its only to do surround on a telly, 5.1 setup with a sub and thats it although I do stream Amazon music from the TV through it.
I did like the setup on the Onkyo which used a mic to balance the speakers for the room but other than that as long as it has half decent sound and will connect to a Sony 49XF9005 thats all I need.
Not looking for cutting edge, just simple to use, sit under the telly and do its thing.
Any recommendations without spending more than a few hundred?

This allows you save multiple Audyssey recordings using the provided microphone with the Denon AVR. The standard Audyssey processor isn't very good that comes with the cheaper Denon units. However, the app allows you to collect a lot of positional recordings and then you can transfer that data to your PC and use a much more powerful online processor to make all the audio and room corrections. Then you can upload the settings back to the Denon AVR via the app again.

I went from a 2310 of similar vintage to the previous 1700X model, as I'd bought a 4K TV. It's all you really need for a basic 5.1 setup in a modest sized room. You have to pay an awful lot more if you want any appreciable difference in performance, unless you want more than 7.2 or to run individual power amps.It's a great little thing and I will try out the configuration file tutorial/video this weekend
