TAG 11 "Are you Insured?"
Discussion
Hi folks,
Just a reminder to those attending TAG 11 this weekend to check with your insurer that you are fully covered for the event.
I'm just doing the parade laps of the circuit & the snail speed run up the hill, but thought I better check with my insurer MSM if I am covered.
Turns out I'm not!
A couple of emails later & MSM have agreed with the underwriter that because the event is non-competitive they will make an exception this time.
Normally my underwriter will not cover such events, as soon as you mention the words RACE & TRACK in the same sentence they immediately come over all "computer says no".
Fortunately due to the long standing relationship between MSM & the underwriter, MSM were able to negotiate a special dispensation for me covering the whole weekend.
And the best bit is there was no charge, more great service from MSM
If you haven't done so already it's well worth checking the situation with your insurance company.
Underwriters will find any excuse to avoid paying up, but it seems if you are upfront about your plans they are also happy to negotiate.
Don't get caught out.
Hope this helps, Dave.
