Santa Pod July 9th Sussex Convoy

Just 3 weeks to go now, anyone up for a convoy from West Sussex (Horsham or there about)? Plan to get to the Pod about 9.

Try to be there for 9 if you can.
The last few miles take longer than expected and dont trust the satnav. It can take you down a very thin road to a dead end!
So plan the correct route. See you all there

Having started this thread I now feel a bit of a goof having to drop out. We will still be at the Pod but arriving from Cambridgeshire not Sussex.
Matt however has offered to take over so the convoy lives.
As per dbv8 you need to be there before 9.00 and expect busier than usual traffic due to an event at Silverstone.

Meeting at Broadbridge Heath at 6:15 leave 6:30? looking forward to another weekend there but still can not get in the 12's.

Cerbera 4.2 standard but decatted. But just had new cams fitted and was hopping for an improvement and just before that a lightened fly wheel etc.Must be the driver (get in quick before any one else says it)damn good fun though !

I guess you will have the power to terminal at around 115mph so a mid 12 is there to be had.
Tyres make a big difference. A pair of R888s or similar on the rear if you can. Otherwise on 'normal' tyres just lower the rears to 18psi and a little burnout to clean them off. Try to minimise wheelspin and the 12's will come.

12 psi is about as low as you want to go imo. I would try 14 a couple of times to compare. Obviously it depends on your tyres, ie the make, profile etc. Trial and error until you find what works best.

Sounds like a plan ... will be keeping a close eye on the weather though... are there others joining ?

I think we need to be leaving by 6.15 if possible, are we going up through dorking or up to peace pottage?
