Hi folks

Lewis - an old TVRCC member from Herts & Beds - has asked if anyone is willing to
provide transport on May 19th (a Saturday) for himself and 4 other adults to a wedding down
at Bassingbourn Church in TVR style.

Essentially, the groom wants as much noise and presence as possible and TVRs are puurrrfect for this!

We would meet up at Stotfold at about 1330, be treated to a variety of goodies - various home made
cakes, coffee etc. - then enjoy a leisurely run-down to Bassingbourn Church about 30 minutes away
(http://www.bassingbournchurch.org.uk/) SG8 5NW to drop off everyone before vanishing with a brooommm!

Stotfold is very close to where we used to meet up at the Tudor Oaks and could be the eventual
destination of a longer run-in run an hour or so before to get there.

So, if this sounds like something which you would like to be involved in, please let me know
and I'll get the plans underway.

Many thanks, Alex

Hi Lewis,

Just a quick update on this thread. My T350 is currently in the bodyshop after someone drove into the back of me, estimated time for repair is 6-8 weeks so I can't guarantee I'll have her back in time for the wedding. I'm in a courtesy car at present which is a Porsche Cayman S - nice car, looks pretty but obviously no TVR. If you'd still like it there let me know but I'll understand if not.

...and I'm in the same boat a bit. I'm assuming I will have my Sagaris back by then since it isn't going to make Chatsworth at current rates.

Hi Tony

The winter projects are overrunning by a bit unfortunately and won't be done when originally planned for - but such is life frown

I kept adding a number of things I wanted doing as well, which has not helped things, but the Sag should be "very interesting" when I get eventually her back biglaugh and I'll do a write up then.

The back was murder on Sunday morning, but by the late afternoon was pretty much ok. It wasn't totally wonderful until Thursday, but is more or less sorted now - thanks!

Hope you enjoyed the run-in on Sunday. Shame I missed it as it passes very near to my usual hunting grounds biggrin

All the best, mate! Hope to see you at Chatsworth if you're going(?)

Do people want a simple point to point route for this or something more interesting? I might have time to have a good at something next week, but the easiest is p2p.

Happy to meet up with anyone heading South on the A1?? Lewis - can't remember if I mentioned to you, I'm not in the T350 at present but in a blue Porsche Cayman S. A little more normal and won't stand out anywhere near as well as the TVRs, does your mate want a Porsche in the run/pics?

Just had a look at the route, and the country roads take the same time as the boring A roads so i think that will be the better option biggrin

The route i am looking at is through Ashwell and Litlington (30 minutes, 10 miles). How does that look for everyone?

Hi Lewis

If you send me a proposed route I can do a route plan for it.

Thanks!

Okay, I've put together a route plan which starts off in Hertford (usual place for those who have done it before tongue out), goes to Buntingford, Stotfold (stop for cakey etc.), head on to Ashwell, Litlington and then ends up at the Church.

A few A roads, backroads etc.

Total time is about 1hr 30mins, excluding breaks etc.

I'll send to Lewis to check he's happy with it, then will send it out with the usual guided route disclaimers.

I will not post the route specifics or starting times here as people know my attitudes to specifics on public forums. I will post them to email address directly as usual.

Thanks!

Happy with whatever route people want to do but I have to be in St Neots for 4.00 so would need to leave at 3.30 just want to check that is going to work out OK for Lewis and everyone else.
