Hi folks

(Note - this is not an official TVRCC event, but something I'm passing on as an information
service).

After some discussion on Sunday and various emails about interest from members on this open-day,
I spoke with Dave and Rick (from Salford Service Centre) and arranged a few items that I hope
will be of interest to TVRCC members in the Middlesex and others regions.

Dave The Trimmer, Open-day
As Dave's open-day has been advertised at Chatsworth and in this month's Sprint, you may
have seen some of the details before. Essentially, after having worked for many years for
other companies doing re-trimming services on such cars as Aston Martins, TVRs, Lotuses and
other vintages, Dave recently started up his own company.

He is running an open-day on the 3rd of June (a Sunday) and will be open from 11am to discuss
re-trimming work, show examples of his work and offer refreshments.

More information on the day, can be found here...

Salford Service Centre
Coincidentally, just opposite Dave is Salford Service Centre, which is owned by Ron (a local
member of the TVR club) and employees a number of ex-TVR Power body shop experts - including
Rick - who now also works as the service manager.

As Salford's employ TVR body shop and respraying specialists, I've discussed with them about
opening up their premises up on that Sunday to show their body work facilities and provide any
free advice or estimates about body work or respraying. They also have engineers who
are very knowledgeable about servicing Griffiths and Chimaeras. So, are happy to offer the
use of their ramps on the day to discuss condition of outriggers etc. for those makes of cars.

This is not something that was originally part of Dave's open-day, but is something I have
just discussed with Dave and Rick to add for those members who were originally going to the
open-day.

As such, I hope the above is useful.

Thanks, Alex

Just a reminder, this is next Sunday. If you are planning on coming can you let me know, I was going to pop Dave some numbers for catering if TVRs were going.

Cheers!

A good morning out with everyone! Quite a few TVRs and other cars present.

Spoke with Dave about quite a few little jobs on my Sagaris and other cars - knows
his stuff!

Meet a few members from the region and others who had popped along for the day biggrin

Also, many thanks to Rick for opening up the ramps next door. A few people made good on his offer to use the ramps to check outriggers.
