TVRCC Herts, Beds: Alternative(s) to Kimbolton
Discussion
Hi folks
With the disappointing news that Kimbolton Fayre will not happen this year, I've reviewed the situation with alternative shows and
have the following suggestion(s) to make.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to get hold of Nick to see if it is possible to get anymore passes for Uxbridge, but reviewing the
dates on the Uxbridge website I think it is not possible to get anymore club passes as the latest date for this was today. It is still possible
to get in with individual passes up to the 9th of July, but that will require individuals to enter themselves and ensure they get the tickets
prior to the day.
An alternative is the Brooklands Super car Sunday, which is about the same distance for folks from Herts/Beds to Uxbridge. I spoke with
the organiser yesterday and it is still possible to get a car club entry - assuming we can get responses back reasonably quickly. The details
from the Brooklands Website for the show are as follows...
"A new all-marques event with demonstrations on the Mercedes-Benz World track for exotic and exclusive modern and classic cars including Maseratis, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguars, top end Alfa Romeos, Aston Martins, Bugattis Rolls Royces, Porsches, Bentleys and the odd Koenigsegg. A unique opportunity for visitors to enjoy supercars at close quarters. Expected rarities are an Aston Zagato, AC Zagato and a Jaguar XJR15 among others."
So, basically, something like Supercar Sunday at Gaydon with the Brooklands air and car museum as an extra bonus.

I'm happy to arrange this event for us IF I can get enough people wanting to go and in a reasonable amount of time.
SO...
sort it out.
Many thanks, Alex.

Aternative Two

Don't be disappointed Alex, you heart is in the right place, it's just the bloody weather that's putting us all off.........I for one am not booking track days until the day before the event AND a perfect weather forecast. I think maybe we all remember the last time it was like this, only a year or so ago, and the awful summer of constant rain we had after three weeks of summer in March. It's pissing down here as I write, and East Anglia is supposed only to have 20 inches of rain a year.
