Bedford Autodrome T/D, 16th of March, come on you tivvers!
Discussion
MSV are holding an open pit lane T/D for the meagre sum of £139.00 and it's on a Saturday, life doesn't get any better then this!
On the last couple of T/Ds that I was involved in, we had about 8-10 TVRs at least on both occasions.
It was great, it was fun and the fastest you can drive your tiv
.
Bedford is a very safe venue with huge run off areas and is suitable for novices and seasoned trackies alike.
I'm booking up tomorrow and will ask them to hold 10 places like they have done before.
If you haven't tracked your car before, put your worries behind you, dust off your helmet
and prepare for a huge grin
Any takers?

Will have a good think about this. We are going on a Spa trackday in Belgium in one of the lotus's leaving on sunday 17th so very close! But Bedford is local and have always wanted to do it. Especially with a bunch of TVR nuts! We could bring the other lotus along.......
That would be really good!It will be nice to meet you and have some lotti as bait

Just booked up myself.
If we can get 10 guys then they will apply a 10% discount.
Please book up via phone if you can and mention PH TVR group and then you will be slotted in the group!
If anyone has any questions be they track virgins or slags, ask away.
Noise will be the "big issue", I will have 2 sets of clamp on silencers and a pair of inserts for people to use if they fail the noise test.
If in doubt, you can pop down to your local track be arrangement and get tested, takes only a minute.
The secret in passing is to raise the revs very slowly to the test level, 4.5K in our case.
As you raise the revs and you get to 4K, slowly back off the throttle as the revs will rise on their own as it comes on cam and you will go over 4.5K and fail!
Take your time and if anything stop at 4.3-4K revs.
It's surprising what a difference a few hundred rpm makes.
A standard chatted system will be about 97db
A fully decat system, (like mine) will just tuck into the 99s, just!
We have had quite loud systems on track but they have always passed with bolt on cans EXCEPT Bluebottles SC griff.
He must have a couple of rainwater pipes as an exhaust system 'cause it wouldn't pass at Combe.

Jon, take the Elise, I look forward to seeing it on track!
It tested at 105dB(A) at Brands recently! But have just fitted a small silenced decat pipe. May be very borderline! I have an oval tailpipe too so difficult to further silence. Will see what it gives at Silverstone Stowe circuit in a few weeks...Booked myself (phil) and my brother (Geoff) in, so thats two confirmed for the group. Ooops did it online (cos i didnt read this thread properly doh!) so phoned them up and got us moved us to the TVR group but might not get our discount this time, but will get 10% off next time. Oh dear, have to keep a look out for another T/Day....
