TVR Track day - SW

Hi

As there's a thread lamenting the lack of TVR TDs atm, I thought I'd point out one thats happening in the south west.

Col at TVRSSW has hired LLandow near Bridgend on Saturday 6th April to set up customer cars and have a bit of fun. Its NOT really a trackday and its not a TVRCC / ATDO / FAEO event, I guess you could just call it a track experience day.

Col was my race mechanic for several years and was part of Ian Flux's crew that won the C'ship in 2003 or so, so he knows what he's doing and will be taking all the kit to set up / sort cars when there as well as the Tea Ern etc though they do have a very good cafe.

I believe there's 20 TVRs booked already but they may have a couple of slots left or I'm sure you'll be welcome down for a natter and possibly a pax lap and a butty!

BTW Moderators, I'm a customer (well was - don't have a TVR atm for the first time in 16yrs ) and am not making anything out of it and I doubt they are either1 Ta

Do yo know is the 105db being enforced ? - Been told they're v. relaxed

Shouldn't think so for a minute mate !

We used to test there periodically and I never saw a noise test!

I'll check though

105db stated, (which the usual loud day level)

as a db guide...
Std Griff = 100
std griff with new exhaust - 98
Piped Griff = 102-6
Str8 thru = 120-127

like I said, never seen them test and this is a private day NOT a trackday.

125, you must wear ear plugs, can you hear anything at all, that's nuts. I'd love to hear it. Lol. After 110 don't your ears bleed! Sounds like a good day out to me I'd love to go!

ive done 10+ trackdays at Llandow as well as watching lots more and i've never even seen a noise test done there.

Thanks to Colin and family plus friends today for a fun day out.

Yes OK the change in weather made all the difference but is was nice to meet up with some faces, have a chat and a laugh between burning some off some fuel.

Hope those who had rides with me today weren't put off for life.....and thanks to Andy Race for showing me how to go on the attack properly....might be a while yet but I now know the car is capable of at least.
