Is there an East Midlands TVR regular meet?

I'm new to the area and was wondering if there is a regular TVR East Midlands meet or regular PH runs around the area?
Hi Anthony,There is a regular TVRCC meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month, so next will be 9th June. That's held at the Unicorn's Head in Langar. There's good support in the East Mids with a good selection of models, characters and ages.
There's quite a mix of events from overseas trips (Spa this weekend for example) though to static and drives out to national events. Because of regional links to the RAF there there are also several airshows too.
In terms of runs out in the area it's a bit more informal with many doing "pop up" runs when feeling like it.
Regional Organisers are Paul Arnold and Dave "Petclub" Matthews.
Not sure about formal PH meets.
Hope it helps.

Matt.

Hi Anthony, East Mids have an active calender, through the 'season' we have people supporting all sorts of events (e.g. not all people like the same things). Please come along and join us at the next meeting or contact either Paul1962 or I about any questions.
I assume you are no longer in Norfolk?
(I may be slow to respond as off to Spa soon

Thanks both - You are correct, I have Norfolk-ed off to Newark now, and am living just outside said town at Coddington. I have met up with Daz (Silicone Kid) and Darren (Vee8eight) so far, who have both been hard at it, making my new home work properly.

)On the 9th June, is there a time in Langar, or do I just turn up, and sit with the roof off, listening?
Do me a favour guys - can you please draw the EM TVRCC massive's attention to my track day post in TVR Events and Meetings?
It's a totally non-profit event, just an attempt to have a fun day for TVR owners.
To make real financial sense of it, I need as close as possible to 40 actual cars attending, which will make the cost per person under £80 for a full open pit lane track day at a great, safe, stone-free airfield circuit. It will be about 90% TVRs too (only interlopers so far are a Mustang, a Westfield, and a Cooper S JCW driven by a T350 owner whose T350 is well over 120 decibels). Guys can share their cars with a second driver at no extra cost, the usual track day safety rules will apply, and all drivers will be required to wear a helmet and produce a driving licence. If the date is available at Blyton, it will be on a Friday in July.
Langar is just a pub, so people turn up from 12, if there is anything to say we have announcements at about 13.00 (e.g. forthcoming events, saying hello to new people or people speaking up with new ideas, nothing formal).
I'm happy to post a link to this thread. One of ours (Colin) was trying to arrange a similar thing recently.
If you are a TVRCC member (I assume you are) you may want to talk to me or look at the East Mids web site as I have a charity (for extremely poorly young people) event on 13 July, about a 1.8/9 mile straight...... not sure excatly what the layout will be yet but about a 3.7 mile circuit. last year in the pouring rain the top speed reached was 175. If you are interested, you are welcome to join us, my list will close very soon though.

Will do so tomorrow and see what's what.
Hi QBee,
You're more than welcome to join us at the Unicorns Head in Langar.
However, as Dave_m should already know, we do not have a meeting there in June as we're going to Ferry Farm on the 2nd Sunday to join the Capri owners club at an event they run every year ( http://www.capriclub2000.co.uk/ )
