Heads up for any Tivver owners who haven't heard about this one yet..

TVRCC are running a TVR exclusive track day on August 3rd.

GTF Racing have secured the day and are enabling the club to offer places at a subsidised £150 per car.

Not only is this massive value for an August day at Oulton , but there should be much more going on, than on a standard track day , this is being planned as an event itself.

This will be a TVR ONLY day, and all levels from 1st timers - to race cars will be catered for.

All TVR owners are invited , whether taking part in the track day or not ,it costs nothing to spectate and chat with lots of like minded folks talking TVR.

There will be a Display of TVR and GTF race cars and anyone who wants to display there road or track car will be welcome.

The TVRCC are now taking bookings and Track Day Co-ordinator Sean Lacey is finalising the details of, what promises to be a superb event.

I am planning to be there with the odd camera or three, oh and a newer looking Cerbera than Oulton Park last saw.
It's a long time since I've made it over to Oulton Park and I'm already looking forward to this day.
With GTF being there it is guaranteed to be day cracking day.

Already booked with a couple of mates but can anyone advise on good & not too expensive trackday insurance cover? It was no problem with Hagerty as it was just an add-on but now with MSM & they don't do the cover.

Cheers

Cool will make a note in the calander, Should be able to pop down and take plenty of photo's, Won't be going on track though, Am I right in thinking I can just turn up on the day and i'll be fine or do you have to be a member of the TVRCC

what sort of speed is Oulton?

I've heard its quite a fast track.

Our 1600M doesn't really do high speed at the moment, we were only hitting 70 on the straights at Cadwell.

You need only to be a member to book the track day , non members in Tivs are encouraged to come along - the TVRCC will be there if you want to join though.

All Tivvers are welcome on track, this will be a great, day whatever you drive at whatever speed you feel comfortable at.

There will be some full on track day cars and a few race cars, but it will be a day for everyone to enjoy the circuit , a 1600M will be great fun - bring it along biggrin.

Yeh, cadwell was great, its just a little annoying that every time we get to a straight, we had to indicate pull over and let about 10 cars go flying past. Although after curborough, we now know how much faster the car will go around corners.
