Mid Essex August meet, this Sunday 12th September 2010

This coming Sunday is the second Sunday of the month which means another Mid Essex meet and another Mid Essex convoy from the White Hart...

Most will know the drill by now, but for those that don't we'll be meeting at the White Hart as usual from about 11:00 for the main convoy leaving at 12:00,

and if you're joining the Southend pose pre meet, at the bays on Thorpe Bay front by the yacht park (between Maplin Way Thorpe Hall Avenue) and between for 10.15 to 10.30 leaving at 10.45 (or thereabouts).

How do I get to the White Hart..?

1) Take the A12 towards Colchester,
2) Turn off at J19 (Boreham) – keep in the left-hand lane,
3) Take the 2nd exit,
4) Follow the road, it turns to a 40mph,

The White Hart is on your left a few hundred yards further on.
If you get to the roundabout, you have gone too far..!

Last time (a week or two ago) I drove past the White Hart it was having a re-furb and the car park was closed.
Anyone know if it's open now?

Came past the White Hart tonight and the Pub and the car park are definitely boarded up. Doesn't look likely to open any time soon as the windows are covered up as well.

Any suggest where we can meet up first Steve, Lodge Inn SWF, Hylands Park......?

i will take a drive up there before the weekend, and sort a suitable meet point... watch this space!

Hi Folks,

Thanks for posting up Steve.

The White hart is all boarded up.
I have the permission of the manager of the BP Garage just further up on the MacDonald's roundabout, to gather the convoy in the lorry park.
I have been up there on a Sunday and there seems to be plenty of spaces.....enough to gather the TVRs together anyway.
The roundabout will then be on the 'right side' for a smoother exit for the TVRs too.

Thought we might give that a try this month and see how it pans out.
Will be telling everyone in the newsletter.

Watch that BP roundabout.... might be on the "right" side, but traffic flow is pretty fast...
