TVRCC Herts & Beds: Proposed events for the Summer 2011
Discussion
Hi all
After discussion with some folks I would like to propose a number of possible social events for the Summer and see which ones have the most interest. These events would be for the local region (Herts & Beds) and would be arranged in order of requested interest. Remember, these are a list of suggestions, so if you would also like to put some new suggestions into the pot please email me (alex_gray255@yahoo.com).
These events are primarily intended for the family and partner or a drive to a destination that might be of interest to non-petrol heads
If you are interested in any of the events below, then please add your name below and I'll look into arranging the most popular ones.
Thanks!
Alex

Hiya,
After a lot of consideration and recommendations, I decided that the repair would be undertaken by surfaceanddesign up in Blackpool. The Griff was ferried away last week, the work costed and approval to proceed has been given by the claims management group. The damage is not nice but will not require a complete front end cut, just a section from the drivers side lights to a point somewhere between the top of the wheelarch and the door shut, leaving the original body to chassis fixing points intact.
I decided that whilst the Griff is in for repair I would take advantage of a complete respray, in original colour, dealing with any stress cracks that might be evident. Going to retain the original, slightly tarnished badging.
Surfaceanddesign are going to forward photographs of the stages of work as they proceed.
I understand that the part panel is being fabricated at the moment and anticipate going up for collection at the end of this month.
I have put new sponges and wash leathers on my birthday list.
See you at the next meet.
Cheers
Graham.

I assume your reffering to the UJ TVR badge.
I'm only having the original badges reinstated ( stuck on ). The new finish will certainly make washing the car an even more enjoyable experience. Not sure I will want to take it out, once I get it back.
Looking forward to picking griff up in time for a glorious summer season.
Are you intending to get up to the meet this month?
Graham.

I like the bit about 'dealing with any stress cracks that might be evident'. Is this a pointed reference to the stress cracks on my rear end? Glad to hear it is coming along ok. Won't be the same without the ear bleeding pre-cat, so don't be away for too long.

Hi folks
Unfortunately, Colin (many thanks for the effort!) and myself cannot pull the Aston factory visit off. We got up as far as the global events manager, but got a polite & firm "no".
So, I've scratched that idea.
Might be able to look at another factory visit idea, but will need to think about that.
Onwards and upwards...

Folks, although AM is out, I'm looking into the possibility of doing a Jag factory tour instead.
This is near to the AM factory and Gaydon. No promises, but know someone who will look into it for us.
I'm assuming a Jag tour will be a suitable sub for AM tour for those who wanted to do a factory tour.\
Not quite the same I agree, but beggars can't be choosers
