Hi folks

I have just received this invite for a charity event on the 14th April in Hatfield.

I know this is very short notice, but is anyone interested?

Details are below...

Thanks, Alex

For the ladies, we will have a range of beauty treatments, make up demonstrations and a selection of exclusive retailers selling a selection of goodies from designer handbags and sparkly jewellery to Pampered Chef merchandise.

An amazing selection of prizes, including Porsche driving experiences and merchandise, will be up for grabs in our auction and raffle.

Exhibitors and retailers signed up so far include...

From the link...

Catering by Annabelle Nutrition - www.annabellenutrition.co.uk

So, they are serving something. How good it is will probably depend on what they are charging for the tickets (if anything)

Ahhh, so you missed off the most important information, but left
Frocks and Frippery of Hitchin
Porsche Kitchens by Poggenpohl
Beauty by Sharon Kavanagh
Baby Cakes

I guess a donation to the air ambulance would be in order, assuming there is no entry charge..

I'll take the Austin, just to wind up the Porker People hehe

Ok, the cost for this event is £20 per head.

Not surprising considering the type of event it is and what is included.

If people are coming I would suggest this is a partner type of event.

Anyway, if you are interested, put names below and we can look at what we do
for a booking.

Thanks

Well, I'm booked and going, so if people are joining me - feel free to do the same!

It beats sitting at home on Thursday watching the c***p they spew out on the TV now days.

No site report for this visit. If you missed it, you missed it wink

But to be honest, it was ok, but not the best I've ever been to. The entertainment was so-so (being generous), the food was reasonable, the guest speakers were... well... yes - enough said about them.

The cars were good to look at. I met a few old friends from previous incarnations and chatted with them a bit to catch up and did a bit of social networking. The technical tour was very good. Learnt a few things I didn't know about brakes, washing, ceramic discs - which was useful.

About what you would expect for £20 laugh

A few photos from the evening. Of course - I forgot my good phone camera so had to resort to my bad one and then enhance the pictures - so not the best they could be.

(PS - I was amused to note that my Sag could have thrashed virtually all of the cars there in terms of speed and BHP. And it was only a fraction of the price. I'm sure there is a moral in there somewhere...)
