TVRCC Herts & Beds meet Sunday 17th April, 2011
Discussion
Hi folks
Just a reminder that the 4th monthly meet of the year will be on the 17th of April at the Tudor Oaks Lodge in Astwick starting at 1130 as usual.
I would like to do a run-in this month, but need someone to volunteer to plan and run it as I shall be driving in from the TVRCC AGM and while able to make the meeting, will not be able to do the run-in itself. If you want to step up, feel free to email me!
Just a reminder: -

Just a reminder: -
- I've also arranged for a visit from a classics restorer & TVR re-trim specialist to come to our April meeting who will be offering free advice, taking questions etc (Ed from EAB Classics), so if you have any mechanical or technical questions regarding your Tiv be sure to take advantage of this visit!
- Result from the change of venue poll
- Up and coming event bookings, etc.

Sorry I won't be at the meet this month as I will be at the Spring Alfa Romeo day at Duxford. If anyone wants to see 500+ classic & modern AR's you know where to go (may be a run out after the meet - it is only 15 miles away)
My Griff sold so quickly last month I am still in shock - it lasted all of 2 hours on PH classifieds. The hunt for a Cerb is now on!
Cheers

Hi folks
Two events to report on today - the first was the trip down to Gaydon to see the Heritage Motor Centre and the AGM and
the second is today's meet.
The AGM started at 1200 and went through the usual business of
job of commenting on it than I can, so I won't steal any of their thunder. I will just say however, that things are looking positive
going into next year and that the management team are focused on providing members with the best services that they can
given challenging times.
After the AGM meeting, myself and a few other people went off to have a look around the Heritage centre. Access was
free (being an AGM delegate) and I spent about 2-3 hours wandering around having a look at all the exhibits.
Here a few pictures from the displays - I took alot, but will only post the most interesting.

...John's latest up to date car...

...my answer to getting through traffic in Hertford...

...when the Tiv isn't fast enough for you...

...Pen's old racing Tiv...

...the car that Hiran is buying after his new Chim...

...or was it this one...

Overlooking my future garage of cars...

The TVR design that never quite made it beyond the prototype..

And lastly, an exciting new alliance with a race of TVR admirers that will help put Herts & Beds at
their rightful place as Masters of all... Ah... No, I will announce this at the next H&B meeting. You had
better attend or you will be exterminated!!

We had glorious weather today and over 22 TVRs of different makes and models showing up.
I hope I managed to speak with most people - although as we had a lot of people come to be meet -
forgive me if I missed a few people.
I spent some of the meet recapping the events for the next few months and encouraging people
to remember these are all present on the forums
I welcomed a couple of new (or long absent) members - Phil & Tim. Welcome to the region, guys!
I hope to see you come to the events going forward.
We also discussed the results of the poll for moving to a new venue. The result was yes, we would
like to move, but only by 1 vote, so as promised, I will start the ball rolling on seeing what we
can find to move onto. I will not be treating it as our highest priority, but welcome any suggestions
as to where people would like to move to.
So, the more suggestions that are made and the quicker they are done, the sooner we can look at
potentially evaluating different places.
Lastly, many thanks to Ed from EAB for popping by and talking to everyone! I hope everyone found his
advice useful! I've left an open invitation with Ed to pop by anytime in the future if he wants - so feel
free to chat with him when he next pops in.
Well, enough chat from me - here are some pics from today...

Lastly, lastly - welcome back Graham!!! It was good to hear the peace be shattered once more by your
little beauty!
