Hi folks

Is anyone interested in doing Knebworth this year? I know the region has done it in the past, but looking at what it offers - and the types of cars it accepts - it looks a bit old fashioned to me - purely classics and nothing else.

Unless I'm reading it wrong - for cars to exhibit - they have to have been registered only up to 1986, anything after that is not accepted.

Personally, I like a bit of variety - classics are fine - but I like something more modern to look at as well.

If enough people want to go however, then I'm happy to arrange it, but if not, then I think we have more than enough events over the summer to give this one a skip.

If you are interested in going and displaying, put your name below and if enough people are up for it, then I will put it in the calendar. If not, then... not smokin

Anyway, the links to the show are here..

Thanks, Alex.

Hi Keith

In answer to your question we currently have 2 car shows lined up for August already plus the monthly meet. There is also a possibility that that Go Kart event will fit into August, so the calender is quite full.

However, as I said - if enough people want to go, then we'll do it. I've got the dates penciled in and allocated until a go-no-go decision is made smile

Does it allow post 1986 club displays as well or am I just reading it wrongly?

Thanks, A.

Count me in!

There's no minimum age restriction Alex - or at least there never has been in the past that I'm aware of.

But here's the thing, as a club we get allocated our own pitch where we can errect all the TVRCC paraphanalia which gives all members pride of place parking away from the public parking area and an entrance cost of about £2 per car instead of £12. cool All we have to do is try to ensure that someone is there on each of the three days.

As Pyney said, it IS a good show.

Hi folks

IMPORTANT

In preparing for this venue, I've read up on their insurance requirements and due to PLI issues, I will only be able to accept people who are members of the TVRCC club in our booking.

It will not matter which region you are from, but if you wish to attend and are not a member of the TVRCC, then I cannot accept you in our booking. You are of course free to do your own booking through the normal methods, but that will be for you to organize separately.

The deadline is still a long time away, so no need to panic yet smile

So, can I ask everyone who has put their name down in the list above to confirm whether or not they are TVRCC members. If you do not confirm - or I do not know - then I will remove you from the booking.

Can you please confirm before 17th June as I will be processing our booking then!

Many thanks,

Alex
