TVRCC Herts & Beds: Chatsworth 2011, May 7th-8th
Discussion
Hi folks
Although Chatsworth is still a couple of weeks away, I thought it would be a good time to start a thread to capture the details of people going, hotels they are staying at and the run-in plans as they are developed.
So, if you are planning on going to Chatsworth or the Derbyshire run on Saturday, put your name below and I'll use this thread to help co-ordinate and communicate any run-in, dinner, breakfast or meet up plans that our region has.
All the information for Chatsworth can be found at the following sites
Thanks, Alex

Hi folks
Looking at what people are doing, I don't think if makes sense to do a run down to Chatsworth area on Sat morning as a group as too many people are doing different things. So I would suggest we get together instead for a meal on Saturday night (7th).
We have people staying in Dronfield and Bakewell which are about 30 mins from each other.
So, we can either...
- Have a meal on Saturday night in Bakewell OR
- Have a meal on Saturday night in Dronfield
Let me know your thoughts?

Not too bothered but have stayed at the Castle Inn before and it does good grub (especially meat lovers!) at a fair price. Menus are here if it helps.Looking at what people are doing, I don't think if makes sense to do a run down to Chatsworth area on Sat morning as a group as too many people are doing different things. So, looks like the majority of people are in Dronsfield. As such, I suggest we all meet up there at about 1930 and go to a restaurant need the Manor.
I don't know Dronsfield, so two questions...
- is there good (safe) parking we can use for TVRs near the Manor or can we park at the Manor?
- what is a good restaurant in Dronfield?
A

I think Dan also recommended this place from last year. So assuming everyone likes something spicy...
How about there at 1930ish?
Last year Dan, Tony (Zippee) and a few others ate at Samad Cottage indian restaurant exactly opposite the Manor Hotel, i think Clive, Nicky and a few others ate in the Manor Hotel.
The chap (Steve i think) who owns the Manor drives a Tuscan and last year demarcated part of the carpark for TVR's only (with wheelie bins
), if someone wants to advise him how many cars there will be in total i'm sure he'll do the same again, you will be able to park here if you plan to eat at the hotel or Samad, although a quick pint in the hotel would be the polite thing to do.
For people stopping at the Chantry hotel the parking is good, it's approx 50 yards from the Manor.
There is public parking in the civic centre, 100 yards from the Manor - Dronfield is generally a good area, but i wouldn't guarantee the safety of any car parked within close proximity of 4 pubs!
Ayeshas is about quarter of a mile from the Manor, it does good food, but there is only on street parking.
If people are struggling for space, i could possibly accomodate 3 or 4 cars at the rear of my house, a short Taxi journey to the Manor.
If anyone needs more info PM me your mobile and i'll call you for a chat.
Me and Mrs P will probably head to the Manor early on Saturday evening for a few beers, then eat at Samad
Hope this helps

Hi all
I just spoke with the Manor house hotel and they are happy for us to park our cars in their secure car park around the back - so what I would suggest is that we all meet up at the Manor house hotel reception area at about 1930-1940ish and then decide from there were we want to go for dinner.
See you Saturday!
Thanks, Alex
