See you on the 28th June TVRCC/Easytrack event.

but easytrack still have avaiability, so be quick to book up.

I see from the TVRCC forum that the take up is very low rather than all places filled and since it is not on their track day calender yet I can well see why people like Crimbo don't know about it. How many TVRs are going to be there?

I'll be there, but don't plan putting the car on track. I'm more than sure it's not going to pass the db noise limit.whistlerolleyes .

Anyone know if it's possible to arrive the previous day [i.e.tomorrow, Monday] and camp over? Would usually stay in a nearby hotel but too much of a cheapskate this year. Are there loos/showers open on site? Would ask this on the TVR forum but it seems pretty quiet in there.

Had a great day, nice to see some old faces and meet new ones. A big thanks to Graham for taking time out for me, and taking me round the track. It was just what I needed to spur me on, as to getting out there on track. As for the Biblebow.
It's just a shame I work weekend and miss out on these things, ahh well I'm off next Tuesday, so guess where I'll be.
Thanks again,
Andy.

I was there too today sussing it out for when I decide to do a trackday. It was good to see a few Tivs out there but there weren't as many as I was hoping.

Everybody seemed pretty courteous on the track & I didn't see any offs.

Whose was the dark blue T350 going round?

The white Evo was the surprise for me. That thing looked bloody quick!

Thanks Sean of the TVR car club for arranging the day.

Good to see a few new faces just having a look, but hope to see you on track next time.

As you will have seen for yourselves, the trackday is really a chance to hone your driving skills, that makes us all safer on the busy roads, and possibility of reduced, yes reduced, insurance premiums.

These cars are made for it!

Great day had by all, thanks again.

The ex Tuscan race series car from Scotland had a really impressive body make over to make the panel gaps and finish look very respectable, and it went pretty well too. I had a nice chap with the owner / builder, after we had a good few laps of sensible but rapid fun against one another. It was a credit to him. Good day, 80 cars and I never saw one red flag. A good eclectic mix of cars. (I wasn't driving a TVR, just nice to see a few on track).

Paul aka "tailslide" on here would be in the blue t350, get him to take you out next time, fantastic driver in a very well sorted car!

As for the evo, Thats a time attack car I doubt there was much on track faster with the same grade of tire.

Great mix of cars today a lot of nice stuff and a few very well set up sleepers.

Some footage from the session – I’ve hours of it, but just a few short clips that contain some TVRs…and one with Tufty eek

Just about lost the nose to a Ginetta - at least TVR fit mirrors wink Plus yellow and blue TVR Griffiths.

Light blue T350

Tufty escapes with his nuts intact

Loads more but too lazy to edit/upload unless someone wants me to hunt out a particular car if I have it.

That'll be me then smile So you must have the Skyline with the dog 'box. Got to get me one of these (box, not the car wink). You seemed to have amazing grip on the bends without aero - I'd guessed initially it was 4wd.

That the silver ek with a black bonnet, if so really nice chap was speaking to him the other week about it, he's only just finished it, It has a EP3 type R engine running around 250bhp, very fast car both on the straights and through the bends, would be be crazy on some good rubber last time I looked it was on DSG3 eagle f1's

The Tuscan Racer looks utterly mental-fast. I do miss the old yellow Cerbs brake squeal though, would help with the Ginetta with no rearward vision!

Any chance of vids of the dark blue T350R that has been mentioned (PH'er tail slide) - I suspect it was going rather well. heheevil

Unfortunately only as it pulled off to the pits as I came round Lodge, so just for a fleeting second.

I'm pleased you guys all had a good day. It was quiet on the TVR booking front, but threads like this can only improve matters! Thanks to those who took me out for a few laps, it's funny how none of you seemed interested in me returning the favour at lunchtime laugh

Hi, so you made a pretty lengthy trip to Oulton, hope you got back OK? Lovely car, if you are interested in seeing how small the `box it there's a thread on my build of the transmission conversion on another forum:

http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/114647-new-gearbox-almo...

The Tractive people are over in Sweden at:

http://www.tractive.se/products/rwd-seq-shift-gear...

I am told a new ultra high torque capacity box is in development, but the ratings on the 5 speeder are VERY conservative, gear and dog ring wear are immeasurable after about 15 hard track days, to say I am impressed by the `box is an understatement, and service and support have been exemplary. Carl Nelson is the expatriate running the tech side at Tractive, feel free to mention my name. The things even come with a full DVD showing a full strip and rebuild, and all spares are off the shelf. Eat your heart out, Quaife....

One would compliment that lovely Tuscan perfectly smile

Nice to meet you, take care. If you have time and inclination to find any footage of my old beastie, should you have any, I would love to see it, thanks. chris@chriswilson.tv
