Just a heads up for fans of good quality American comedy. This series has just made it across to the UK (It's on its 5th in the US) and is on BBC4 at 10pm

It is in a similar vein as the US office, takes a few weeks to get going, but I am a big fan!

also, it has one of the greatest sitcom characters of all time in it, Ron Swanson

For some reason known only to them, First Great Western had Season 4 available in their on-train entertainment systems a while back. I really enjoyed it smile

Thought the 1st season was terrible hehe

It was only with the reassurance from others that it got far better in season 2 that I kept going, but I'm glad it did. Not quite as good as The Office IMO, but worth watching. Tom makes it for me.

I didn't, but it all makes sense once you watch some of the series!

Make sure you stick with it beyond the first series, as it gets better quickly

Great characters in this show - they really fleshed them out after the 1st season.
And no one has mentioned Jean Ralphio?

Rashida Jones is a babe too. As Quincy Jones is her Dad, she did a 'Who Do You Think You Are' which is on the iPlayer.

Heads up,

Series 2 is starting now on Beeb 4

Starts to get going as it loses the documentary feel.

The story with this show, is that I like this show a lot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vpj5ayvP2hk

Season one is better than its reputation. It was originally supposed to be an Office US spin off, and it eventually came out when that series was at its peak so it got slated for being derivative. Saying that, it does improve substantially in season two.
